A True Cuba Discovering
5 Days / 4 Nights


Day 1 - Arrive Havana (L, D)
Arrive at Havana's Jose Marti Airport. Depart for a tour of La Habanas Vedado neighborhood with your local tour guide. You will get to see representative buildings introduced to Cuba by a variety of European architects. Next visit the Plaza de la Revolucion a historical and architectural landmark from where Popes Francis II and John Paul have addressed the Cuban people.
Lunch at a paladar (what Cubans refer to as a family-owned private restaurant).
Visit Callejon de Hammel (Hammels Alley) one of the most outstanding Communitarian Projects in Cuba from 1990 and the cradle of Rumba in Havana for the first perception of Cubans vibe. You will also visit the Gallery of Cuban Artist Salvador Gonzalez Escalona, a famous Cuban muralist who created the Project.
(4:00pm) Check-into your accommodations.
(5:00pm-6:00pm) Enjoy a ride on a 1950s antique classic American car around the city and ending into the famous Hotel Nacional for sunset cocktails.
(6:00pm-7:00pm) Sunset cocktail in the National Hotel. Designed in a combination of Sevillian, Roman, Moorish and Art Deco styles and was a favorite of the American Mafia in the 1940s and 50s. The hotel boasts a long list of famous guests from Gary Cooper, Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra to recent guests such as Steven Spielberg and Leonardo DiCaprio.
(7:00pm-8:30pm) Welcome dinner at a local paladar
(8:30 pm-) Live jazz session at La Zorra y el Cuervo.
NOTE: All the activities of this first day will be done depending of your flight landing time. However, time management is a priority in our Agency in order for clients enjoy the most during your travel.
Day 2 - Art and Culture


Breakfast.
(9:00am-10:30am) Enjoy an architectural tour of La Habana Vieja (Old Havana) with a local expert. You will visit Plaza de Armas, a scenic tree-lined square surrounded by many historic buildings dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Stop at the cobblestoned Plaza San Francisco, the basilica and the monastery of Saint Francis of Assisi and la Plaza de la Cathedral (Saint Christopher's Cathedral). Renowned Cuban writer Alejo Carpentier described the cathedral as, "music set in stone."
(10:30pm-12:00m) Visit Finca Vigia, the former home of writer Ernest Hemingway. Peer inside the house through large windows and stroll the peaceful grounds.
(12:00m-2:00pm) Visit a local farmers market and purchase ingredients for your subsequent Cuban cooking lesson at a local Cubans home.
(2:00pm-3:00pm) Special Activity Supporting Cuban People (This is a very special moment with a really purpose: getting close to the Cuban people daily life. Delivery of donations, visit to a Cuban family with a manual art project, conferences and interchanges with Cubans entrepreneurs, among other surprises will come true in moments like this one)
(3:00pm-3:30pm) Visit a Communitarian Art Poject and Gallery named The Eye of the Cyclone, built by the Cuban Artist Leo DLazaro who was recently invited to the last Havana Art Fair in 2019 spreading art beyond his walls and constructing the Art Neighborhood at this moment.
(3:30pm-5:00pm) Next visit El Floridita bar Hemingways old drinking spot and home to the original daiquiri and live Cuban music.
(7:00pm-8:30pm) Dinner at a local paladar
(9:00pm-) An evening at the world-famous outdoor nightclub, the Tropicana Cabaret. Immerse yourself in this glittering spectacle known worldwide as Paradise under the Stars.

Day 3 HAVANA Matanzas

Breakfast.
(9:00am-4:00pm) This morning visit the province of Matanzas known as the Athens of Cuba for the many renowned artists and intellectuals it has produced. Visit the 19th-century Triolet Pharmacy and interact with the workers at Ediciones Vigia, a print and binding shop where you will learn about this traditional handmade craft. Next stop at Casa Dupont, built in 1926 by American millionaire Irenee du Pont. See the lavish grounds and admire the detailed architecture of this mansion, nicknamed Xanadu by its owner. Lunch at a local paladar.
(7:00am-8:30pm) Dinner at a paladar.
(9:00pm-) Visit La Fabrica de Arte Cubano (if its open). Featured in the New York Times and located in the ruins of an old cooking-oil factory, this eccentric hotspot hosts one of the biggest exhibitions of contemporary and performance art in Cuba.
-This Cuban Project is open every three month, and when open its really worth to see it. If on your booking time, the place is closed, we can visit the Buena Vista Social Club Show, located in Cafe Taberna, Old Havana, which is also a great music and dance show.

Day 4 Havana Vinales


Breakfast
(9:00am-4:00pm) Take in a beautiful drive along Cubas countryside on your way to Vinales Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site considered by the New York Times as the most beautiful place on the island. This National Park has stunning landscapes and is home to one of the worlds premier tobacco regions. Visit Despalillo and learn how this institution that sorts and selects the best quality tobacco leaves that make up the famous Cuban cigar. You will have an opportunity to interact with the ladies that run this operation. Lunch will be on a local private farm. Subsequently, visit the home of local artist Ramon Vasquez. Ramon was inspired by the beauty of the surrounding landscape that makes up this remarkable social and dynamic settlement.
Return to Havana for dinner at a local paladar. Following, put your dancing shoes on and enjoy a night of live salsa music and dancing at Cafe Cantante

Day 5


After breakfast enjoy some free time to wander Havana as you wish. Transfer to Jose Marti Airport for your return flight home.
